§ 50-5. Abatement of violations.

Any building or structure erected, altered, repaired or used in violation of any of the provisions of this Code is hereby declared to be a public nuisance and subject to the provisions of this Code relating to abatement of nuisances. It is the duty of the Building Official to issue stop construction orders and to prosecute all persons violating the provisions of this Code with respect to the erection, reconstruction, remodeling, altering, repairing or occupying of any building or other structure in the Town. In all cases where administrative action becomes necessary to abate the nuisance, the provisions of this Code relating to abatement or nuisances shall apply. All prosecutions shall be in the name of the Town.
